Terms of Service

Last updated: 6 October 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the services provided by Get Local Work.

Please read these Terms carefully before purchasing or using our services.

By purchasing our services, creating an account, or otherwise using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About Get Local Work

Get Local Work is currently operated as a sole trader business by:

Alex Dickson

United Kingdom

Email: [email protected]

Address: 18 Springfield Road, Guildford

In these Terms, "Get Local Work", "we", "us" and "our" means the business operated by Alex Dickson.

"You" and "your" means the individual or business purchasing or using our services.

2. Our services

Get Local Work provides digital marketing, review-management and customer-engagement services for local businesses.

Depending on the package you purchase, our services may include:

Google review optimisation;

Automated review requests;

Review requests sent by email and/or SMS;

Review campaign setup;

Customer-list processing and campaign management;

Monitoring of review activity;

Automated or AI-assisted responses to reviews;

Google Business Profile-related services;

Reporting and analytics; and

Other services described on our website or agreed with you.

The specific services included in your subscription will be those described on our website, checkout page, order confirmation or otherwise agreed with you.

We reserve the right to improve, modify or update features of the service from time to time, provided that we do not materially reduce the core service you have paid for without giving you reasonable notice.

3. Business customers

Our services are primarily intended for businesses and business users.

You confirm that, where you purchase our services on behalf of a business, you have authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of that business.

If you purchase our services as a consumer rather than for business purposes, nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or restrict any statutory rights that apply to you.

Where applicable, consumer rights relating to the provision of services remain unaffected. UK law provides consumers with statutory rights concerning services, including requirements concerning reasonable care and skill.

4. Creating an account

Where an account is required, you must provide accurate and complete information.

You are responsible for:

Keeping your account information accurate;

Maintaining the security of your login credentials;

Restricting access to your account; and

Notifying us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.

You must not knowingly provide false information or use another person's account without permission.

5. Subscription and pricing

The price of your service will be the price displayed when you purchase the relevant service or otherwise agreed with you.

Prices may be displayed exclusive or inclusive of VAT depending on whether Get Local Work is registered for VAT at the relevant time.

If VAT becomes applicable to your purchase, we may charge VAT where legally required.

Unless otherwise stated, subscription services are billed on a recurring basis according to the billing frequency selected when you purchase.

For example, a monthly subscription will normally renew each month until cancelled in accordance with these Terms.

6. Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe.

By purchasing a subscription, you authorise the applicable payment provider to charge the payment method you provide for the relevant subscription fees.

If a payment fails, we may:

Notify you of the failed payment;

Retry the payment;

Request an alternative payment method;

Suspend some or all services; and/or

Terminate the service if payment remains outstanding.

We will not normally suspend a service immediately following a first failed payment where the payment provider allows us to retry the transaction.

7. Minimum terms and cancellation

If your chosen plan has a minimum contract period, that minimum period will be clearly stated before you purchase.

Where no minimum term is stated, your subscription will continue on a rolling basis until cancelled.

You may cancel a rolling subscription by contacting us at:

[email protected]

Unless otherwise stated at the point of purchase, cancellation will take effect at the end of the current paid billing period.

You will normally continue to have access to the service until the end of that period.

Where a minimum term applies, cancellation will normally prevent renewal after the minimum term rather than bringing the contract to an immediate end, unless otherwise agreed.

Nothing in this section affects any statutory cancellation rights that may apply to consumers.

8. Refunds

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable for periods in which the service has already been provided, subject to any statutory rights you may have.

If you believe that we have materially failed to provide the service you purchased, please contact us at:

[email protected]

We will investigate the issue and, where appropriate, may provide a correction, credit, partial refund or other appropriate remedy.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts any refund or other remedy that you are legally entitled to receive.

9. Consumer cancellation rights

If you purchase our services as a consumer, you may have a statutory right to cancel a distance contract within 14 days of entering into the contract.

The Consumer Contracts Regulations generally provide a 14-day cancellation period for service contracts.

However, if you expressly request that we begin providing the service during that cancellation period, and the applicable legal requirements are satisfied, your cancellation rights may be affected once the service has been fully performed.

Where applicable, we will provide the information required by consumer law concerning cancellation rights before the contract is concluded.

If you are a business customer purchasing our services wholly or mainly for your business, these consumer cancellation provisions will generally not apply.

10. Review-request services

Where we provide automated review-request services, you authorise us to operate those services on your behalf in accordance with the service you have purchased.

You are responsible for providing accurate information and appropriate instructions.

You must not instruct us to send communications to individuals where doing so would breach applicable law.

You must also ensure that the information you provide to us is accurate, lawful and suitable for the intended purpose.

11. Your customer data

If you provide Get Local Work with information relating to your customers, including names, telephone numbers or email addresses, you confirm that:

you have a lawful basis for providing that information to us;

you are entitled to instruct us to process that information;

you have complied with applicable data protection legislation;

you have complied with applicable electronic-marketing requirements;

the information is accurate and reasonably up to date;

you have provided any privacy information required by law; and

you will not provide information that you are prohibited from sharing.

Where we process customer information solely on your instructions and on your behalf, we will act as your data processor and you will generally remain the data controller.

The processing of personal data will also be governed by our Data Processing Agreement, where applicable.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal information where Get Local Work acts as a controller.

12. Compliance with marketing laws

You remain responsible for ensuring that the customers you ask us to contact may lawfully be contacted for the purposes of the service.

This includes compliance with applicable:

UK GDPR;

Data Protection Act 2018;

Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 ("PECR");

Consumer Protection legislation; and

Other applicable marketing and communications laws.

In particular, you must not provide customer data to us for email or SMS review requests where the proposed communication would be unlawful.

You must promptly notify us if an individual:

Withdraws consent;

Objects to processing;

Requests that communications stop;

Requests deletion of their information; or

Otherwise exercises a relevant data-protection right.

13. Review content and authenticity

Get Local Work provides tools intended to help businesses request genuine customer feedback.

You must not use our services to:

Create fake reviews;

Submit reviews pretending to be customers;

Purchase or incentivise false reviews;

Manipulate reviews;

Misrepresent customer experiences;

Suppress legitimate negative reviews through unlawful or deceptive practices; or

Otherwise attempt to manipulate a review platform dishonestly.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of our services complies with the rules and policies of Google and any other review platform you use.

We do not guarantee that Google or another platform will publish, retain or display a particular review.

14. Google Business Profile and third-party platforms

Our services may interact with Google Business Profile, Google Reviews and other third-party platforms.

Those platforms are operated independently of Get Local Work.

We do not control:

Google's systems;

Google's algorithms;

Changes made by third-party providers.

Accordingly, we cannot guarantee:

A particular number of reviews;

A particular review rating;

Improved Google search rankings;

A particular position in Google search results;

That a review will be published;

That a review will remain published; or

That a third-party platform will continue to support a particular feature.

You remain responsible for complying with the terms and policies of any third-party platform connected to your account.

15. AI-generated content

Some Get Local Work services use artificial intelligence, including AI functionality provided through HighLevel, to assist with generating suggested responses or other content.

AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies or inappropriate wording.

Where AI-generated content is provided, you are responsible for reviewing it before publishing or using it where appropriate.

We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will be:

Completely accurate;

Free from errors;

Appropriate for every situation;

Suitable for publication without review; or

Free from unintended similarities to other content.

You remain responsible for content published using your account.

16. Your responsibilities

You agree to use our services lawfully and responsibly.

You must not use our services:

For unlawful purposes;

To send spam or unlawful marketing;

To harass or deceive individuals;

To distribute malicious software;

To infringe intellectual property rights;

To transmit unlawful or harmful material;

To impersonate another person or business;

To attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems;

To interfere with the operation of our services or third-party platforms; or

In any way that could cause us or our service providers to breach applicable law.

17. Third-party services

Our services rely on third-party technology providers, which may include:

HighLevel / LeadConnector;

Stripe;

Google;

Google Business Profile; and

Other technology providers necessary to deliver the service.

Third-party services may occasionally experience outages, maintenance, technical failures or changes.

Where a third-party service becomes unavailable, we will take reasonable steps to restore or provide the affected service where practicable.

However, we cannot guarantee continuous availability of third-party services.

18. Service availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee that the service will always be:

Available;

Uninterrupted;

Error-free;

Secure from every possible threat; or

Compatible with every device, browser or third-party system.

We may temporarily suspend services where reasonably necessary for:

Maintenance;

Security;

Updates;

Technical problems;

Legal or regulatory requirements; or

Circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where reasonably practicable, we will provide advance notice of planned material interruptions.

19. Service performance and results

Our services are designed to help businesses improve their review-generation and customer-engagement processes.

However, results depend on factors outside our control.

We do not guarantee:

A specific number of new reviews;

A specific increase in your Google rating;

A particular level of customer engagement;

Increased enquiries or sales;

Improved search rankings;

Increased revenue;

A particular return on investment; or

Any particular commercial result.

Any examples, case studies, estimates or projections presented by Get Local Work are illustrative unless expressly stated otherwise.

20. Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in the Get Local Work website, branding, software, processes, materials, documentation and original content belong to Get Local Work or our licensors unless stated otherwise.

You may use the service and materials provided to you only for the purposes of receiving the services.

You must not, without our written permission:

Reverse engineer our systems;

Attempt to reproduce our processes;

Remove proprietary notices; or

Use our branding in a way that suggests an unauthorised relationship with Get Local Work.

21. Your content

You retain ownership of content and information that you provide to Get Local Work.

You grant us the limited rights necessary to use, process, reproduce and transmit that content solely for the purpose of providing the services.

You confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions to provide the content to us.

We will not use your customer lists or customer personal information for our own marketing purposes.

22. Confidentiality

Each party agrees to keep confidential information received from the other party confidential and to use it only for the purposes of performing the agreement.

This does not apply to information that:

Is already publicly available;

Becomes publicly available through no breach of these Terms;

Was lawfully known before disclosure;

Is independently developed; or

Must be disclosed by law or a competent authority.

Where personal data is involved, the applicable data protection arrangements will also apply.

23. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

In particular, nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:

Death or personal injury caused by negligence;

Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;

Fraudulent concealment;

Any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited; or

Your statutory rights where you are a consumer.

Subject to the above, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Get Local Work will not be liable for:

Indirect or consequential losses;

Loss of anticipated profits;

Loss of anticipated savings;

Loss of business opportunity;

Loss of goodwill; or

Loss of revenue,

where such losses arise in circumstances where the law permits such limitation.

For business customers, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the services will not exceed the greater of:

(a) the total fees you paid to Get Local Work during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or

(b) £1,000.

This limitation does not apply to liabilities that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

24. Events outside our control

We will not be responsible for failure or delay in performing our obligations where this is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

This may include:

Internet or telecommunications failures;

Third-party platform outages;

Cybersecurity incidents not caused by our failure to take reasonable security measures;

Government action;

Changes to third-party platform policies;

Natural disasters;

Fire;

Flood;

Power failure;

Industrial disputes; or

Other circumstances reasonably outside our control.

We will take reasonable steps to minimise the impact of such events.

25. Suspension and termination by us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the services where:

You fail to pay amounts due;

You materially breach these Terms;

You use the service unlawfully;

You provide unlawful customer data;

Your use creates a significant security or legal risk;

You use the service to send unlawful communications;

You attempt to compromise our systems or those of our service providers; or

We are required to do so by law or a third-party provider.

Where appropriate, we will give you reasonable notice and an opportunity to remedy a breach before terminating the service.

We may terminate the service immediately where the circumstances reasonably justify immediate action.

26. What happens when the service ends?

When your subscription ends:

Your access to the service may cease;

Automated campaigns will be stopped;

Future charges will cease, subject to any outstanding contractual commitments;

We will handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Data Processing Agreement; and

Customer data processed on your behalf will be returned or deleted in accordance with the applicable data-processing arrangements, subject to lawful retention requirements.

You remain responsible for any amounts properly due up to the date the service ends.

27. Complaints

If you have a complaint about our services, please contact:

[email protected]

We will aim to acknowledge your complaint promptly and investigate it fairly.

We encourage you to contact us before commencing formal proceedings so that we have an opportunity to resolve the issue.

28. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Where a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify customers before the change takes effect.

Changes will not retrospectively alter rights or obligations that have already accrued.

If you continue to use the service after revised Terms take effect, the updated Terms will apply to your future use of the service.

29. Assignment

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms to another person or business without our written consent, except where permitted by law.

We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms as part of a sale, transfer or restructuring of the Get Local Work business, provided that this does not materially reduce your contractual rights.

30. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with any applicable order, service description, Data Processing Agreement and other documents expressly incorporated into them, form the agreement between you and Get Local Work concerning the relevant services.

If there is a conflict between these Terms and a specific written service agreement, the specific agreement will take precedence to the extent of the conflict.

31. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be modified or removed to the minimum extent necessary.

The remaining provisions will continue to apply.

32. No waiver

If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not mean that we have waived our right to enforce it later.

33. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Subject to any mandatory rights available to consumers, the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK in which you live.
