This Privacy Policy explains how Get Local Work collects, uses, stores and protects personal information when you visit our website, contact us, use our services or otherwise interact with us.
Get Local Work is currently operated by Alex Dickson, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom.
For the purposes of applicable UK data protection legislation, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation ("UK GDPR") and the Data Protection Act 2018, Get Local Work may act as either a data controller or a data processor, depending on the circumstances described below.

This may include:
Customer names;
Email addresses;
Telephone or mobile numbers;
Information about previous customer relationships; and
Information necessary to send review requests and manage responses.
Where we process this information solely on your instructions and on your behalf, you remain the data controller and Get Local Work acts as your data processor.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have a lawful basis for providing this information to us and for instructing us to contact your customers.
2. How we collect personal information
We may obtain personal information:
Directly from you;
When you complete a form on our website;
When you contact us by email, telephone or other communication method;
When you purchase or enquire about our services;
From information you provide to us in connection with providing our services;
From publicly available business information, where this is lawful and appropriate;

Automatically through cookies and similar technologies used on our website.
Where we receive personal information about an individual from another source, we will provide the relevant privacy information required by applicable data protection law, subject to any applicable legal exemption. UK GDPR transparency requirements generally require information to be provided when data is collected, or, where obtained from another source, within a reasonable period and no later than one month, subject to exceptions.
3. How we use personal information
We may use personal information for the following purposes:

We use personal information to:

We use payment information to process subscriptions and other payments, administer billing, prevent fraud and maintain appropriate financial records.
Payment processing is provided by Stripe. Stripe may process personal information in accordance with its own privacy policy and contractual data-processing arrangements.
Improving and securing our services
We may use personal information and technical information to:
Maintain and improve our services;
Diagnose technical problems;
Monitor service performance;
Protect our systems and users;
Detect and prevent fraud, misuse and security incidents; and
Maintain appropriate records.
Marketing
We may use personal information to contact existing or prospective business customers about Get Local Work's services, where permitted by applicable law.
We will comply with applicable requirements under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and UK data protection law when conducting direct marketing.
We will not use personal information supplied to us by a business customer about that business customer's customers to market Get Local Work's own services to those individuals.
4. Our lawful bases for processing
Depending on the circumstances, we rely on one or more of the following lawful bases under the UK GDPR:
Contract
We may process personal information where this is necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you, including providing the Get Local Work services and administering your account.
Legitimate interests
We may process personal information where this is necessary for our legitimate interests, provided those interests are not overridden by the individual's rights and interests.
Our legitimate interests may include:
Operating and developing our business;
Providing and improving our services;
Maintaining customer relationships;
Managing enquiries;
Protecting our systems and services;
Preventing fraud and misuse; and
Appropriate business-to-business marketing where legally permitted.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider the nature of the processing, its impact on individuals and whether the individual's interests or fundamental rights override our interests.
Legal obligation
We may process personal information where necessary to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation, including accounting, tax, financial and legal requirements.
Consent
Where consent is required by law, we will ask for consent before processing the relevant personal information.
Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
5. Review requests sent on behalf of our customers
A core part of Get Local Work's service is helping businesses request reviews from their previous customers.
When a business customer supplies us with a customer list, we process that information on the business customer's behalf and according to its instructions.
The business customer is responsible for determining:
Which customers may appropriately be contacted;
The lawful basis for processing their information;
Whether any required consent has been obtained;
Whether the customer can lawfully be contacted by email, SMS or other electronic communication;
The content and frequency of communications; and
Compliance with applicable data protection and electronic-marketing laws.
Get Local Work will process the information only for the agreed service purposes and in accordance with the applicable contractual arrangements.
HighLevel states that, where its platform processes customer data on a customer's instructions, HighLevel acts as a processor and the customer acts as controller.
6. Direct marketing
Get Local Work may undertake direct marketing to businesses and business contacts by email, telephone, SMS or other communication methods.
We will comply with applicable UK data protection and electronic-marketing laws.
In particular, PECR treats limited companies and certain other corporate bodies differently from sole traders and some partnerships. Sole traders and certain partnerships are treated as individual subscribers for electronic marketing purposes.
Where required, we will obtain appropriate consent before sending marketing communications.
Every marketing communication will provide an appropriate means of opting out or otherwise objecting to further marketing.
You may also contact us at [email protected] to ask us to stop using your personal information for direct marketing.

Appropriate contractual safeguards;
The UK International Data Transfer Agreement;
